Personal Life
I grew up in Naperville, Illinois, as the fifth of six kids. My parents were successful serial entrepreneurs who introduced us to business from an early age, instilled an entrepreneurial spirit in us, and emphasized the importance of self-sufficiency. More importantly, they modeled what it means to serve others selflessly each and every day.
I attended Utah State University, where I earned a degree in Marketing after completing a two-year religious service mission in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
While at Utah State, I met my wife, Candice, who has been my best friend and the love of my life ever since. We still live near the university in a small-town community nestled in the mountains. Today, we have three daughters who love watching movies, playing board games, hiking, and cheering on the Aggies right alongside us.
Professional Experience
Before becoming a Career Ownership Coach ®, I spent 17 years in leadership roles across consumer products and retail services. I’ve built and led teams in e-commerce, wholesale, B2B services, operations, and other areas of business. Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to lead both large sales organizations and small, cross-functional teams within international, multi-billion-dollar companies as well as entrepreneurial small businesses.
I’ve been fortunate to work with some incredible companies and people, and I genuinely enjoyed the journey. But as my career progressed, I discovered that the part of leadership I valued most was sitting down one-on-one with the people I led.
There’s something uniquely powerful about a great one-on-one conversation. It creates space to step away from the day-to-day, think more deeply, clarify what really matters, and have honest conversations about where you want to go and how to get there.
That realization is a big part of why I became a Career Ownership Coach ®.
Today, I have the opportunity to have those same meaningful conversations with people who are thinking about what’s next in their careers and lives. I’d love the opportunity to sit down with you, learn more about your career and aspirations, help you clarify your goals, and explore the possibilities for creating a career that aligns with the life you want to build.
